The Effie Awards are globally recognized as the most prestigious awards in the marketing and advertising industry. Winning an Effie is not an easy task. However, earning a Bronze, Silver, or Gold Effie Award places you among the most effective marketing and communications cases across more than fifty countries worldwide.
The AMMA Awards are the premier professional awards within the Dutch media industry. They were created to reward exceptional achievements and innovations in media, data, technology, and strategy. From major advertisers to media agencies, from media owners to boutique firms — everyone has the opportunity to showcase their best media work. Each year, a jury of seasoned industry professionals reviews the submissions and selects the winners in various categories.
In 2006, the industry association VEA hosted the first-ever Legend Dinner and presented the inaugural Legend Award to Giep Franzen. This marked the beginning of an annual tradition of honoring individuals who have made a significant contribution to the development of the profession. VIA has continued this tradition in a refreshed format. Alongside the VIA Legend title, the ‘Most Valuable Player’ (MVP) and ‘Rookie of the Year’ awards are also presented.
